TRUSTING THE PROCESS
Have you ever found yourself in a new or uncertain place where you have had to rely on your inner guidance in order to navigate the journey?
Have you ever experienced a profound sense of calmness while the rug is pulled out from under your feet despite not knowing why it is happening?
Have you ever stood naked and vulnerable, with all that you thought you knew stripped away but, against all odds, you are still draped in that profound level of faith in the unknown?
To have faith is to have a deep sense of trust in what cannot be seen. Proof or evidence is not needed but, rather, it is an inner sense of knowing that guides you. Faith is built on that knowing. This knowing arises only from your true self – the inner self – which is the only source of truth in this world.
To trust the process means to believe that there is a divine plan unfolding, and your only contribution is to simply be present in the moment to experience it, fully acknowledging that the reason for its occurrence is because circumstances are rearranging for your highest good.
My blog began with a tale about how everything in my life took a turn for the worse – my slippery decline into the thick darkness – but the true purpose of my pain and suffering was seeking my true self (the truth within) which led to my rebirth and the beginning of my enlightenment journey.
The Dark Night of the Soul occurs differently for each person but the common denominator is that those circumstances unfold in such a way that it leaves you with a newfound respect for the divine process of life. Try as you might, you can no longer remain in what is known. And things can no longer go according to your plan.
When dramatic external shifts unfold in our lives, they usually arise as a result of us making an inner shift or decision. We may not even be aware that we have done it, but it has happened. All we can do at that point is take life one moment at a time, placing a deep faith in its guidance, and a profound sense of trust in the unknown.
When we trust the process, we allow the realm of the intangible to guide our ship and lead us step by step on our journey. It’s like trusting a GPS to guide us to our destination, even if we don’t know every turn it will take.
Having trust requires you to close your eyes, to take your attention off the world around you and to bring your awareness inwards. You do this as you know that what you can sense or feel on the inside is more real than anything you can touch, see or experience on the outside.
One key aspect of trusting the process is embracing growth – recognizing that personal growth and development are part of the journey. Just as a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, we too undergo changes and transformations. These changes may be uncomfortable at times, but trusting the process means understanding that they contribute to our overall growth and well-being.
Trusting the process requires patience. It’s like planting a seed and waiting for it to grow into a tree. It takes time for things to unfold and reach their full potential. In a world that often values instant results, embracing patience can be challenging, but it is an essential part of trusting the process.
Trusting the process is about finding joy and fulfilment in the journey itself. Each step, no matter how small, contributes to our personal story. By appreciating the present moment and being open to the possibilities that unfold, we can make the most of our journey through life.
So learn to trust the process because it’s unique to you. Everything happens for a reason and you’ll achieve your goals in Divine Timing.
