PERFECTIONSTROKES
My Perfection Strokes on my painting journey reveal the step-by-step process during the painting of my fourth artwork, a rowboat. This was the third part of the series.
This long process was partly a brainstorming session where I indulged my audience in unpacking the idea of spirituality and what it means to me. Furthermore, I tackled the topic of perfection and whether it is necessary to arduously chase after it.
Abiding mostly to the instructions in the 50 Small Paintings (beginner) book, and sipping on some fine cabernet-sauvignon merlot blend of a South African-branded wine, I started and finished off painting the interior of the rowboat in yellow ochre acrylic paint as well as touched-up, “perfected”, its outskirts.
