From Rebirth to Enlightenment

Enlightenment

FROM REBIRTH TO ENLIGHTENMENT

With the consciousness of my rebirth awakening my divine senses, the light was back after a long period of darkness and surprisingly began to spread out, morphing into my true image. With each seed of truth transmitting a new form of energy, I was reconnecting to the endless source of light and its self-forming power!

This release from my self-incurred immaturity marked the start of my enlightenment. This innate source of energy and knowledge was casting doubt upon my physical senses as intellectual capacities beyond the external world; and its material reality which is always restricted to mental content.

My perception had shifted. Fully aware of the enslaved state of my mind, I longed for liberation and freedom! But freedom from what? Freedom towards what? And most of all: what really is true freedom?

Freedom from suffering. Deep down I craved to be free from resentment, grudges, traumas, mistrust, entitlement, complexes, depression, expectations, desires, self-judgment, and most of all, fear.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

Freedom

My true nature wants wings to fly and knows intuitively that she can be free but alas, she keeps being grounded by imperfections as well as social, cultural and religious ideologies which she adopted as absolute truths in her version of reality.

When Friedrich Nietzsche said: “God is dead and man is free” he was attempting to liberate himself from the enslavement to his beliefs. He was stating that, while there was a God that lived, man could never be free, as that would merely turn us into puppets.

Only through awareness can we be totally free, and only through awareness can we choose to remove ourselves from the games of duality, finding our innate wholeness in Being.

When we use the word ‘Paradise’ we associate it with outer beauty and freedom. Interestingly the origin of the word “Pairidaeza”, which is Persian for ‘a walled, enclosed, garden’ reveals the true nature of the idea of paradise; no matter how beautiful, the garden is still enclosed and you are still a prisoner.

The same is true of the story of Adam and Eve, who, once eating from the Tree of Knowledge, became free from the confines of ‘Paradise’, with God releasing them and their potential. However, without developing our awareness, we have again created our prisons in the form of national borders, religious beliefs and egocentric ideologies.

True

Our perception of freedom is always external: the Garden of Eden, protective government laws and financial wealth. We never stop to think that the key to freedom is changing something inside of us, rather than something on the outside.

To be free from all that binds you, from all that is false, from all that is ephemeral, to rid yourself of all that is imaginary and mortal is to experience the truth and the immortal within you.

True freedom is not freedom of speech but rather freedom from past thoughts and future expectations. True freedom is knowing who you truly are and requires complete awareness to connect with your authentic Self.

To be free takes courage. From rebirth to enlightenment, I am becoming aware of my authenticity and the infinite potential within me. The inner peace, joy and contentment inherent in life itself.

The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.
